Jaclyn S. Wanemaker is an associate with the law firm of Burden, Hafner & Hansen, LLC. She has over 14 years of experience as a litigation attorney, representing clients in cases involving catastrophic injuries and death. She focuses her practice in the areas of motor vehicle negligence, medical malpractice, and premises liability. Ms. Wanemaker handles cases throughout New York State.
During her career, Ms. Wanemaker has tried personal injury and medical malpractices cases before juries in Erie and Niagara Counties, and bench trials in the Court of Claims. In addition, Ms. Wanemaker has tried criminal cases in local Justice Courts. Throughout her career, Ms. Wanemaker has handled toxic tort and environmental cases, defamation defense and First Amendment law, in addition to personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, which she has done for well over a decade.
Ms. Wanemaker prides herself in her legal writing and enjoys drafting and arguing dispositive motions and appeals. She has argued before the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, and courts throughout the Western New York area. She is skilled at taking depositions and General Municipal Law §50-h hearings.
Ms. Wanemaker is a Western New York native. In her spare time, Ms. Wanemaker is an avid hiker, and is on her way to becoming a “46’er,” that is, to climbing all 46 of the highest peaks in New York’s Adirondack Mountain Range.
