Charlotte Werner-Kohler is an associate with the law firm of Burden, Hafner & Hansen, LLC.   Ms. Werner-Kohler concentrates her practice in litigation, including  representing clients in the areas of trucking and automobile accidents, employment law, premises liability, Civil Rights and Employment matters, Labor Law and Workplace Safety, and in general negligence cases.   Ms. Werner-Kohler has developed her written and oral advocacy skills throughout her legal practice and is experienced in drafting legal motions and briefs, taking depositions, preparing case files and attending hearings.  Ms. Werner-Kohler also has experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including mediating employment disputes and small claims matters through the University at Buffalo Law School Mediation Clinic, and acting as a mediator for the Child and Family Services Center for Resolution and Justice.

Ms. Werner-Kohler’s legal practice is informed by her former experience as a public educator in New York State and overseas, where she taught at international schools in North Africa and South Korea early in her career. In her spare time, Ms. Werner-Kohler enjoys playing with various wind ensembles and performed as a soloist with the Lawyers for the Arts “Classical Education” fundraiser in 2019.
